What is World of Warcraft Alchemy, World of Warcraft Alchemy is the process of making potions out of herbs, gathered while questing by herbalism, or from auctions

All of the potions crafted in WoW Alchemy are used by other players of one class or another. Potions are used by other players to create useful buffs and repairing spells, some potions are very sought after.
You can use your potions for yourself, trade them with other players or make gold in the auction house with them. The alchemist is always a very popular person to be around.
Getting started is super easy, just find your nearest alchemy trainer, ask a guard for directions or use your mini map. Once you have trained as an apprentice alchemist you are almost ready to create your first potion, all you will need now is a few herbs and and empty flasks, these flasks can easily be obtained from a vendor, usually located near to your alchemy trainer. There are four types of flask you will use, these are Empty, Leaded, Crystal and Imbued, but it's only the empty ones you need to start off.
You can make new potions in any location, all you need are the correct ingredents, poor old Blacksmiths need to find a forge or anvil before they can start.
Alchemy Ingredients and Where To Find Them
You may be able to source your herbs by trading with another character or at auction, but the best way to get them is by taking up Herbalism as another profession.
Once you have some herbs and empty vials you are all set to start creating potions, as you progress in your herbalism profession you may need to obtain rare reagents from fishing, monsters, chests and other players, as well as buying some from the alchemy vendors.
Now it's time to start producing potions, you will need some herbs, silverleaf and peacebloom are the ones to source, plus some empty vials, now simply press P to open your spellbook. From the recipe list select "Minor Healing Potion" and click create, your character now goes to work creating the potion……well done your now an alchemist.
How to aquire new recipes
The Alchemy trainer will teach you many recipes. You can unlock additional recipes with reputations. Make sure you tell your friends you are an Alchemist and they may bring you recipes and reagents.

You will find the WoW Alchemy Profession a very useful one, and it can also create for you much of the precious gold, by selling your potions in the auction house. Making healing potions is something that will make gold for you, as these are very sought after.
