Let’s start with a brief introduction to what tailoring entails in WoW.

WoW Tailoring is a primary profession that is not specific to a specific class therefore anyone can train it.

Tailoring is handy for the cloth wearers such as Mages, Priests and warlocks as they can make their own outfits or special clothing items that they want.
No special equipment or workshop is required to make items with tailoring. Just make sure you have all the recipe items that you want and away you go.

Some of the items you can make are special bags(these are needed by the gathering professions),clothes(shirts,tuxedo’s,special dresses).

Make sure to browse the AH to see what clothes other World Of Warcraft players want and then make those clothing items to sell in the AH.

The main items or ingredients for tailoring recipes are cloth. This can be found on humanoid corpses or kill a couple of humanoids yourself.

Certain other ingredients or items might be needed in the recipe. These are as follows: leather,potions and gems. These can be purchased from the Auction house if you have plenty gold or you will need to source them from someone in those professions or if you have the profession then gather yourself.

Other players in WoW like to choose skinning and enchanting to go with tailoring as well.

When you reach level 350 in tailoring you will need to specialize in one of the following: primal mooncloth, shadow-weave or spellcloth.

An added gain of specializing is that when you craft an item you will make 2 by using only 1 lot of material. Pretty cool. You will also use only 1 cooldown even though you made 2 items.

What is a cooldown? It is a compulsory phase of +- 4 days that you need to wait before you can create the same item that you just made. When you specialize you will be crafting 2 of the same item though which is pretty neat for only 1 cooldown period. So you are doubling your output basically.

Here is a quick guideline on what the 3 different specializations entail:

{Spellfire- 28-slot enchanting bag ,Arcane/Fire damage items, (Fire/Arcane Mage)}

{Shadow-weave - 28-slot soul shard bag ,Frost/Shadow damage items, (Frost Mage/Warlock/Shadow Priest)}
{Primal Mooncloth  - 20-slot bag ,Healing, (Holy Priest)}

You will need to opt another 1 of 3 specializations (Spellweave, Ebonweave and Moonshroud) when you become a grand master tailor.
